Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most famous movies. Growing up in a family of artists living in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. MacGraw was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award, for the most promising young talent. MacGraw was a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. The film was recognized as the most successful female box-office star of the world after only three releases. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 and signatures were recorded at Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she has appeared on comprise The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and other. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw has been married 3 times.
