Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. The music of DiFranco is classified as folk, alternative and rock and pop, however she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani diFranco was among the first artist to launch her own record company in 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd 1970. She is the daughter Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who made acquaintance while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian heritage, and her mother was born in Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and sang the track 32 Flavors. The track is part of her 1995 album Not a Pretty Girl, that was her sixth studio album. This song appears in the soundtrack to the Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apologized to host a seminar in Louisiana on an old slave plantation. It was canceled, yet she refused to express regret. DiFranco made a second apology two days after her first apology. She is known for her Little Folksinger music, but she's performed with many musicians and styles from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She lives in New Orleans. Ani diFranco along with Kristen Ford are together. By 14 she was creating her own music. They were performed in coffee shops and bars throughout her teenage years. DiFranco graduated from The Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school at 16 and started attending classes in Buffalo State College. Her new baritone is a custom Alvarez, made by Chrys Johnston, who at that moment was employed as an Alvarez Artist Rep. This guitar is made of solid woods. The singer and songwriter from the punk/folk genre Ani DiFranco achieved musical hero in the year 25 among both fans as well as critics, with her seventh release Not A Pretty Girl in 1995. Then she had a bigger successes in the year 1996 with Dilate the following year. The rock song of the same name from 1972 (You're a beautiful girl) was composed by American band Looking Glass for their debut album Looking Glass.
