Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. The music of DiFranco is classified as folk, alternative and rock and pop, however she also draws influences from jazz and hip-hop. Ani diFranco was among the first artist to launch her own record company in 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd 1970. She is the daughter Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who made acquaintance while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian heritage, and her mother was born in Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and sang the track 32 Flavors.
