Coleman was from Lancashire and born in Blackpool. She attended Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for her A-levels. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman admitted that she regretted not having had a typical university experiences. Coleman appeared on Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she participated in when she was in school. An award was presented to her for the performance, while the play itself received a favorable reception. Coleman received the role as Jasmine Thomas while she was auditioning at drama schools. It happened in 2005. Coleman was awarded two awards in 2007. The award was for Best Newcomer at the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, she received nominated in the two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman won a TV Choice Award nomination in the category of Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21st, 2012 that Coleman was to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors quit the show. Moffat chose her for the part because she was the most efficient when working with Smith and was able to speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the business since 1987, and was a part of many TV and film projects. However, she is better recognized for her TV shows as opposed to films. Eva has played a variety of roles on television, but two stand out in particular: the Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vistas which was in CSI Miami. In the latter, she even received two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards as well as gave her the chance to express her creative side through music. Eva is not only acting, but she's an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eva has had three marriages and has a daughter from her previous husband.
